My journey began with Astro, a charming chocolate Abyssinian, and I'm excited to help you navigate the joys of guinea pig ownership.
*Bringing Home Your New Guinea Pig*
Choosing the Right Companion:
Select a guinea pig that's friendly, curious, and comfortable with handling. Look for bright eyes, shiny coats, and a willingness to interact.
Setting Up a Happy Home:
Provide a spacious enclosure (minimum 7.5 sq. ft.) with hiding places, toys, and a solid bottom, as guinea pigs love to dig! Consider C&C cages for a customizable and escape-proof space.
First Day Home:
Approach your new friend calmly and gently. Offer fresh veggies, hay, and water. Let them explore their new surroundings at their own pace.

- Provide high-quality guinea pig food, supplemented with fresh veggies and fruits daily
- Ensure access to fresh water and hay at all times
- Clean their enclosure regularly to keep them healthy and happy
